Talking Hello From Southern California

Hello everyone.

My name is Julio & I recently (June of 2009) purchased a new 2008 2500HD 6.7 liter Crew Cab Long bed 4 X 4 Laramie with the 68RFE. I love my truck and plan on having it for a long time. It currently only has 2500 miles on it. I do have a couple of questions.

1. Regarding the Smarty, which I believe recently became available for the 6.7Is it the best choice for my rig? or are there other better options for me. I currently use it to pull a 20 foot boat, but will retire in the next 5 years and get a 5th wheel.

2. My bed got smashed, and now that I have to replace it, I was wondering if I could put one of the 2009 beds with the twin compartments on the sides. Has anyone done a conversion to the late model bed and was it straightforward?

I am excited to be a part of this forum and look forward to interacting with you guys in the 6.7 Cummins community.
Any other So Cal folks in here?

Can't answer any of the questions but Congrats on a great truck. A hearty Welcome to the Forum from Texas!
