Default Hello From Canada

Just thought I would drop a quick note to say that I picked up my 09 2500 6.7 Inferno Red Laramie QC yesterday and I am in love with this truck. I had a 06 1500 SLT and thought that was a truck...boy was I wrong! This is a terrific forum, I had done quite a bit of reading on other forums and thought I was making a mistake in getting the 6.7, you guys have calmed my fears and I look forward to many years of service.

well glad you did,and welcome to the forum!!! I think If you drive it right and do regular maint. these trucks will give a lot of good service time. I have a 08' 2500 big Horn Q.C. 4X4 w/6spd. manual trans. and have 22,000 miles on it now and have had very few problems with it, none with engine, exhaust or emission equipment. the only things were a windshield wiper motor problem, (that is now a factory safety recall : J10 ) that has been fixed and they sent me another factory saftey recall for the front suspension ,(it is listed on another thread here and I think it is only for 4X4's ?) that I still need to take it in for,and thats about it . I have a door speaker that I think is blown that I will have them look at when it goes to the dealer ? but I haven't had any thing major, like MIL indicated fault codes, re-flashes or updates to the ECM/PCM etc. ,or component changes like turbo's , EGR's, O-2 sensors, DPF, or anything else. So best of luck with your new truck and please look through the site as it has a ton of info for these trucks on how to drive and maintain them. I think the info on here has kept me from having major problems from my truck....
