Default Greetings everyone

Just wanted to say hello to everyone. Bought a 2010 megacab last month and I love it! This is my first diesel but I have been a cummins fan for a long time. It's good to see that there are some very knowledgeable folks on cumminsownerz.com who are willing to help when needed and/or just shoot the breeze.

Thanks for the welcome, Stang luver. You're right...there's tons of great info here. I've been reading some threads and it looks like we have a bunch of folks with a wealth of knowledge about the cummins and the rest of the truck as well. I look forward to learning from this forum and maybe I'll be able to help a few folks along the way. It's also good to see a variety of duty cycles out there which gives us some different perspectives in regards to driving/maintaining our trucks. Thanks again for the welcome!

Howdy Dan! Just finishing up my steering linkage replacement including the pitman arm on my truck. Would have been done sooner but it's been 107° F here all weekend. OUCH!

I hear you on the heat...it was also 107 down here in Arkansas this weekend. Had to employ a 30/30 work/rest cycle while cleaning out my garage! Nice truck btw...steering linkage upgrade?

Snapped the passenger side tie-rod. I think the brine solution they are spraying on the roads is eating up the rubber boots thus causing the Joints to fail. I had just got done changing out the front axle U-Joints and bearings back in January due to them rusting out.

Whoa. Must be some nasty stuff they're spraying. I hope the job didn't take too long in that heat!
