Hi I am needing to find out about getting the EGR cleaned at the dealer ship is it covered under warranty or not. I have been told it is and it isn't. A buddy of mine use to get his done at the dealer ship for free and the dealer ship I went to wanted to charge me $400.00.

Welcome aboard.
EGR is not covered under warranty from the best that I know. It does require regular maintenance and if your truck is serviced per interval by a dealer, egr cleaning is done. Here is a link to howto your self .... HOW TO: how to clean EGR and EGR cooler Hope that helps. Cheers.
