Default ColoradoRattler joins the pack!

Just joined the site and I'm already getting great ideas from the members. I hope to be able able to contribute and learn from the seasoned owners.
I bought a 09 2500 Quad 4x4 S/B SXT on Sept 06 of this year (my 1st diesel). I love the power, looks and sound (especially the exhaust brake) of the truck. I've always wanted one of these but have been unable to afford it till this year. I wonder how I lived without it. I tow a 30 foot RV (around 7000 lbs loaded) and the truck handles it no sweat. Looking to move up to a 5th wheel around 32 ft sometime in the next 2-3 years.

Welcome to the site! I too am a first time Diesel owner and like you don't think I'll ever go back to a gas powered truck and wish I would have bought one a long time ago.

This is also my first diesel too. I have worked on the Dodges with Cummins since '89,
Been a Diesel Gear head since '76 and have worked on just about all of them to date. The wife wouldn't have one in the driveway because I smelled like fuel all of the time and she did not want to smell it any more than she had too. I did introduce her to the 07.5 and made some promises like: "it is a quiet diesel", "it does not stink like Johns" (His was an '89 with out an after cooler, it would burn your eye balls just by walking by it), "it will be cheaper to own than the 96 gasser". She is the one who actually bought this truck, I can't complain any. So far, out side of it is "cheaper to own" comment it has lived up hers and my expectations.
