This was a big-to-do about crankcases being overful early on. Oil would be on the full mark after changes and then rise as time went on. Mine did the same thing until I started changing my average rpm. I quit driving in drive and began shifting manually (which I do now). This kept the gas loading of the cross section keystone shaped piston ring high. The result was less increase of oil level overtime. The other issue was fuel injection for regen at the bottom of the power stroke where combustion gas loading of the rings was less. There was a trany flash last year that kept the engine from lugging, Im not sure which one it was. I stopped at the 02 recall and pcm because the truck was running fine.
