I have a question about the EGR being unplugged- After being unplugged for many months- is there any repercussions of plugging it back in? I have a lifetime oil changes at the local dealership and I don't want them investigate cel.....

Thanks for the heads up... really appreciate it!
I did take it in for the oil change and they did not say anything about the light, but I just want to chance it again....because I have removed the dpf and I don't want to stir up anything... |

Since this has re-surfaced, I thought I would post an update. Please be aware of one thing, J35 flash update !
It has found that once you get the J35 update or get a new truck with it already installed, you can no longer unplug the EGR and gain mileage. Doing so prevents DPF regen and will cause it to load up and possibly point you in limp mode. If you have a Edge Insight gauge and monitoring DPF loading, you will find that after a while, you are loading up and the trigger point of 5.9 is doing nothing. The regens that to happen are for SOX/NOX and last only a couple minutes, nothing to do with DPF/soot regen. Cheers.

Oh snap, made a mistake !
Forgot you all have the dpf removed, ignore my previous post, if for people that still have the dpf and cats installed but unplug the egr to gain some mileage. So sorry !

I should have pointed out to clovato that my dpf is no longer with us. My mistake for not mentioning it. I also didn't know about the j35 flash affecting the EGR unplug.
