Angry Tie rods

I GOT 29000 MILES ON MY 07 2500 MEGACAB. TODAY I WAS DRIVING AND FELT THE STEERING WHEEL KIND OF LOOSE. I PULLED TO THE SHOULDER AND THE TIE ROD TO THE PASSANGER SIDE CAME OFF THE WHEEL. ANYONE HAVE THIS SAME PROBLEM?

No. can't say that I have and it's a wonder you didn't lose control. I had a 57 Ford that snapped a ball joint once at 55MPH going over a railroad crossing and what a ride!

We were lucky there was a police coming and i slow down to 30 mph but i was coming at 55. Just when i slow down the stearing wheel got loose and the the truck went to the shoulder by it self. Just an hour before i was on higway 55 going at about 65 to 70 mph i am glad it did not happened there because i wouldn't be writing this now. Thanks god nothing happened. Didn't we have a recall about this not to long ago? Do you have that one?

Sterling is based on the 4500 and up chassis/axles parts so its not supposed to be effected. However since its an emergency vehicle and needs to running at top condition and it was me, I would take it in and have it inspected to be extra sure.

BTW, would like to see more up close pics of the hub caps and how they go one. I am moving to 19.5 rims and will have to replace my dually hub caps. Sweet looking rig !

Cheers.
