Default She died

I changed the fuel and CCV filters, drove the truck 200 miles over the weekend without any issues.....Until Sunday night on my way home and the hesitation/bog issues showed up again. It wasn't as bad as before, just annoying and not right. This morning she started but the idle was erratic. I put her in drive and she would barely move. Foot to the floor and no faster than 2 or 3 mph. Check engine light came on and I pulled 2 codes...P061A and P2262. I had her towed to the shop. Waiting for the diagnosis. I'm guessing it has something to do with the Throttle body or TPS as it seemed there was no change in rpm regardless of the throttle input. At this point I'm just hoping the problem is covered by the 100,000 mile waranty.

Dam...........I pulled and copied the info on the two codes so you'll know. P2262-turbocharger boost pressure not detected - mechanical P061a-etc level 2 torque performance

Didn't you have a throttle code one time? Hopefully that will be it and the newest flash should fix the bucking issue at 1500 RPM's if that's what she was doing. I've started feeling it so I think it has something to do with the mileage and age of the truck as things loosen up and sensor parameters change.

Squid, I got her back today. They reprogrammed the ECU and installed bootloader(?). They also installed the cleaning port and cleaned the turbo. It was all covered by the warranty, thank goodness. Since I don't know the history of this truck I asked the service manager if he could tell me what had been done by searching the VIN. I wanted some peace of mind that I had not bought someone else's problems. According to the dealership database the truck had a module of some kind replaced in August of 2007 at a dealership neither one of us knew about (not in this area). Other than that it was brought in for 2 recalls and some updated programming and that's it. So I feel much better knowing it doesn't have a rap sheet miles long. I think the new programming affected the Lie O Meter too. I'll let you know if it's more accurate than before. She runs good and idles better than ever.

Glad to hear it!

Now I'm really going to have to break down and take mine in for the latest flash too due to the O2 codes and she's picked up that buck at 1500 RPM's every now and then.

Gunner I'm real interested in the long term outcome (like you are). At 32000 miles it looks like I have this yet to face. I wonder how much the DPF contributes to these problems. The ECM was replaced on my truck around Oct. of 07 with some new upgraded model. I've had only the G30 recall but mine is a 2wd...I'm glad to hear it went well with you. It's always a uneasy feeling to have the dealer work on your truck when warranty is involved.
The only thing I'm not looking forward to is losing my Superchips programmer to the bootlegger software, I guess the Edge is next

I have 58K on mine. It was in the shop a few weeks ago for recalls. They cleaned the injectors and updated the software. The idle is noticeable smoother and the MPG is down.

It's my belief the EGR valve is the biggest problem maker for these trucks, more so than the DPFs. I have 81,000 on her now. I'll let you know how she's running at 100,000 when the warranty expires. When it's out of warranty I will decide whether or not to do the deletes. It kinda all depends on how many problems I have between now and then. I intend to keep this truck a long time. I put 200,000 on my '96 Dodge 1500.....most dependable truck I have ever owned. Everyone told me the transmissions were crap. I got 184,000 out of mine before the tranny gave it up. Can't complain about that.
