I drive the truck probably 80% highway, just made a round trip to Kansas 10 days ago and drove from Dallas to Houston today. The odd sound and turbo lag are still there. No CELS or lights on the dash. If this is regeneration why would it last this long?
Does it make the sound above 1100 rpms...Is your lack of acceleration noticeable above 1100 rpms??
Are you noticing any black smoke?
No, regen should not take that long...It's possible that there is a problem with the exhaust brake...Do you drive with it on?
Give us as much information as you can regarding how you drive the truck.
City driving...In drive or some other gear
Drive with the engine brake on
Miles on the truck
and so on....

I drive w/ the exhaust brake on most of the time (not at low speeds due to the abrupt jerking at times). I bought this truck in January '09 w/68,000 miles from a dodge dealership. I now have 80,000. I have had the p2262 code show up twice before but only when I did a full acceleration run (as recommended). The light cleared after a few days both times when I went back to driving normally. I drop it down to 4th or 5th when driving below 45mph for any period of time. I occasionally pull a 33ft. 5th wheel or bass boat. That's the history.
I drove back from Houston to Dallas today and it seems to be back to normal. Mileage was also much better. Going down I got 150 miles to the first qtr tank. Coming back I got 200 miles. The overhead read 1.5 mpg better too. The lag that was most noticeable idle to 1500 is gone also.
I picked this truck over the 5.9 for the 68rfe.

That part has to be a coincidence unless you're actually having a Turbo problem and not creating boost when you step on it because in most cases this code is thrown during startup when it does a self test and moves the sliding vane to check the travel limits. I can tell you that without my Edge display I probably would have sold my truck a long time ago. With it I can tell what my EGT, boost, regeneration, etc and most importantly codes are. All the things that helps me know when a problem is serious and when it's not. When my CCV filter was clogged my truck fell all over itself and you could actually watch the boost jump up and then fall back off as the truck defueled itself. That told me I had a serious problem.

I agree about the need for guages. That's on my list. The check engine light did not appear immediately after the full acceleration runs, but a few seconds after the following startup. In any case she seems to be running just fine now. At least I can honestly say that she has character and like most women, she can be moody.

The dreaded "bog" reared it's ugly head again today. And then disappeared after I cycled the key trying to retrieve error codes (none present). This truck is drive by wire and I have a suspicion that the throttle body or electronics associated with it may be the culprit. The way it comes and goes will make it difficult for the techs to catch it in action. I'm sure there are some ohms parameters that can be tested but willing to bet it has to be messing up at the same time to find the problem. I'm going to clean all the contacts, change the fuel and CCV filter just for extra measure.

Take your filter to a Fedex or UPS and tell us who much it weighs and how many miles you have on the filer

Which filter are you referring to? I bought the truck in January '09 so I have no idea when (or if) any of the filters were serviced. That's why I decided to replace the 2 previously mentioned. I have already received the fuel and CCV filter from Geno's and will replace them Saturday morning. Anything I should know about servicing the fuel filter? It looks straight forward. The air filter was a little dirty but not too bad.
