I'll ask about the flash, thanks. Today I was messing with it a little and in 2nd gear at about 2,200 RPM I would let off the gas and it seemed like the EB would engage just briefly then disengage. But in 4th gear the EB engages all the time and runs down smooth to about 1,200. In 2nd or 3rd with the EB off and at higher RPM’s 2,000 plus, when I let off the gas it clunks all most like it down shifted but it didn’t down shift. Anyways I just wanted to share that.

I am going to bring my truck in to the shop so they can check out the tranny issues I have been having. The only modifications that I have that could matter are the Edge Insight, muffler delete with 5” exhaust, and the Volant CAI.
Should I just keep it as it is or do you think I need to put it back to stock?

On another note: I had the AC on and it seems to be a little weak. It’s cold but has to be on max just to keep it close to comfortable, and it was only 84 out. My wife’s 98 Nissan Sentra’s AC has never been worked on and it’s like a freezer.
How are your AC’s working?

If you don't know about your dealership I'd take the Volant and Edge off. In the long run it'll probably save you a lot of time and aggravation debating with them.
As for the A/C mines working great and I have a black truck and the Humidity has been just wicked bad the last month.

The truck needed to be flashed to fix the shifting problem; it seems to have worked. I did have an AC problem after all; it was the electric fan clutch. It is on back order so it will take some time to fix. On A side note, I left my Edge Insight plugged in and there was no problem with that. They even plugged it back in.

That's cool...Too bad other dealers are not like that. I've bought 5 trucks form my current dealer and have a first name basis with the service manager...I believe in business relationships

I agree with you, relationship is everything. If they alienate there customers saying we voided our warrantee for stupid reasons, why would we do business with them. We won’t go back to them for other repairs. This is what bothers me about the closing of so many dealerships; less competition will equal poor customer service.

Another member was talking about his warrantee being voided because of his Edge Insight. A shop like that would scare me because of there lack of understanding of what it is and what it does.

I thought it was just me about the A/C not being cold enough. I think I will take mine in and have them check it out before warranty is up. 107 here today I think it needs to be alot colder inside the truck.

Oh by the way I did notice that have my last visit to the dealer that they had put line marks on my sensors on the Volant I guess to make a note that they were in correct and all was well.

I had the fan clutch replaced today and they rotated my tire all for free.
But crap, they lost my key. It’s a Laramie so it has the alarm built in it.
I had to wait over an hour for them to look for my key, but they ended up reprogramming a new one. Remember back when I said another dealership wanted to charge me $100 to turn the PTO idle up on… Well this guy who was programming my key said all he does is change oil and rotate tires. I was told only trained tech’s use the computer; guess not.
After I got my key I checked for codes and the P0513 slim key was on there. So he came back out to check it with the computer to clear it and was baffled as to how I knew there was a code. I showed him how to pull the codes and he was very impressed with it. Thanks to this site and everyone who participates I am a lot more knowledgeable with this truck. Thank you to all!
On a warranty note; I was talking with the service guy and asked about changing out the stock air filter housing and putting on a DPF back muffler delete exhausted. He said that stuff was not a big deal and should not affect the warranty. He did say stay away from the oiled air filter.
