Default 48re Tranny rolls in park! Please Help!!

I have a 2007 3500 5.9L with a 48re transmission. When I put the truck in park it rolls. The indicator is on Park. I have no other problems with it. Has anyone ever heard of this happening? We have checked the adjustment on the shifter. I guess tomorrow (Wednesday) morning we are going to drop the pan and service the tranny and see if there is anything obvious that could be causing this problem. If you have had experience with this or just some advice, I am all ears! Thanks!

Sounds like the parking Pawl.
The Parking pawl is in the OD unit and external to the transmission. It connects to the top of the VB (Valve Body) on the shift linkage shaft. Either the pawl in the rear has broken or the pin holding has broken, or, the actuator rod has come loose from the top of the VB.

The VB has a 5/16" dia rod that leads from the VB spool linkage to the parking pawl. Chances are really good the tiny "c" clip popped off and to put it back on you need to lower the VB down a little to see. It won't need to come out completely if it's the clip.
