Hello to all.
I have a question for a friend of mine. He was coming from Dallas Texas when he lost accelerator function. He states that the check engine light came on, and he could not accelerate. He did disconnect the throttle connector and was able to proceed. While on the road, he paid a guy $200.00 to reset the code. They reattached the connector to the throttle and drove about 100 miles. The trouble came back. He was able to limp along ( I forgot how far he travelled) but when he arrived in Blythe California, everything cleared and the RV drove on in. Our question is: what cause this to happen. It was the first time he has had this happen. any suggestion are appreciated. Also, if you need more information. I will get it from him. Blessings to all Chuck aka ulremember I am sorry, he has the 350hp Cummins engine package in a 2004 Fleetwood American Tradition Last edited by ulremember; 07-23-2009 at 06:15 PM.. Reason: forgot info |

Sounds like the truck saw something really severe and to protect the engine or transmission put the truck in limp mode. Did he get the code so we can look it up?
