Default GDiesel

I hope I am not going over something that is old news.

I was in Gardnerville, Nevada yesterday and came across this brochure for GDiesel here it goes.

They are located in Reno, Nevada and are re-refining a mix of natural gas and diesel through their patented process that uses low temps and low pressure in the process. It meets all standard as per ASTMD975.

Based per testing done on governement vehicles carbon monoxide levels were 50% less and oxides of nitrogen were reduced 25%.

It sells in our country today for $3.83 which is comparable to the regular stations and cheaper then most majors.

They claim exteneded oil life, better throttle response, and increased fuel mileage.

It meets the Fed standard of less than 15ppm of sulfur.

They add as does regular diesel, lubricity enhancer to ensure highest lubricating quality.

No mods required for any new trucks including Dodge and the fuel can be readily mixed with regular diesel in the tank without any issues.

They have several letters posted on the site with favorable reviews.

Their web site is Advanced Refining Concepts, LLC is committed to providing clean, domestically produced energy and new U.S. based manufacturing jobs. phone 775.826.2727.

They have been in business for a couple of years but have ony been distributing 1 year.

I go on a trip on Friday that I have made many times and would like to try this product and let you all know how it goes. That is unless I get information that would contradict their information.

I'm no expert but If it meets the requirements for the 6.7L I'd give it a try.

Diesel today is $3.79 a gallon here in Oz.

Yeah the price they quote states they are always competitive with regular diesel.

What amazes me is this infusion of Natural gas. Yet another potentially great development right here in the good ole USA.

There were several testimonials from several contractors and trucking companies that were encouraging.

I am fueling up tomorrow and making a trek over the sierra and this will give me an opportunity to see if I can observe any differences.

Even if it worked the same and reduced these two different polluntants and we use less diesel and use natural gas of which we have plenty what a cool thing.

Appreciate your responses.

Let us know how the truck runs and any differences you notice. I too think this may be a very good thing if they can stay competitive.

Make sure you bring an extra fuel filter. Bio has more solvents in it and will clean things up really nice but kinda make a mess of things with the filter. Better safe than stuck.

Cheers and good trip, we want to hear the results !

Funny you should mention this because I always have a spare filter in that littl compartment below the rear seat.

Guys it is not bio. It is re-refined diesel that through their patented process somehow infuses natural gas. The stations that carry it here in northern Nevada don't even differentiate from regular diesel.

Since I am on the road alot and away from home I do like the spare fuel filter idea. Will keep you posted on the results of my recent trip over the Sierra.

Yes, it's not Biodiesel, but rather diesel on steroids according to this article done by Motortrend that is netting them a 4MPG increase from their test 5.9L cummins powered truck. For those not interested in reading the article, Gdiesel uses a patented ClearRefining catalytic process which facilitates the attachment of hydrogen in natural gas to the carbon chain of diesel molecules. According to Dr. Gunnerman, the carbon chain of molecules becomes shorter as a result, improving combustion characteristics

Here's a list of where you get it which looks like just in Nevada for now. GDiesel Availability
