I've always kept my own book on all the work done. This way I can figure out when I need to do some work on the beast. Since I tend to keep my vehicles about 20 + years, I need my own record book. Besides, I can't remember anything longer than an hour ago.
Glad I'm not the only one with that syndrome. I think it comes from long term marriage.

How do you reset the "oil life indicator"? I have @ least 5,000 more mile before I need to do an oil change. I want to know cause when I go in next time I can reset it myself. I go the local lube place and get it done (all fees and taxes) for about $34.00. The stealership wants $64.00 and sometimes more!

Never mind I found it in my owners manual. I scanned it for everyone to see.

O.K., I might have found it and done what it says but after trying it three times w/ no success today. Any ideas? Does that mean that option isn't available on my Laramie?

I can't read that but this all there is to reseting the oil change message.

Quote:
1: Turn the key on but don't start the truck.

2: Push the accelerator pedal to the floor 3 times and then turn the key off.

Stupid me!!! I read it wrong and did the F**king brake pedal instead of the accelerator pedal!!!! You need one that shows "duh" on the sign with the smiley hitting the other smiley.
