I'm a new member with a newly aquired 2007 6.7 Dodge. I just used this great post to change the CCV filter and reset the warning. Nice post and thanks for the help.

Looks like mine did at 35K, getting ready to do it again in a week or so, at 60K, I check the vent tube and the intake tube for oil regularly, havent seen any migration yet. Our local Cummins dealer is hungry for sales so they are working a price break for quantity purchases on filters and stuff, $73.00 out the door for the CVCC filter before discount and they got a bunch in stock, I think the dealer said $119 for it, cant rememeber what I paid at Genos.

At Geno's it costs $70.80 w/ S&H, at the stealership they want $158 and so many cents! That is a rip-off!!

If you are referring to what I did a while back, I can update the original post with info and recent pics.....

Results from that have been great and have worked well over time. What I found was not the oil actually getting out but an oily moisture / vapor coming through. The separator is catching a lot of it and when I stop to refuel, I open the drain valve and allow about 1/2 cups of oily sludge water to drain out. I have found that this sludge eat aluminium very easy .... the separator ali dipstick, part of it disappeared one day ....

This CCV filter is something you want to change often, like every 20k miles. Waiting too long and it is a problem waiting to happen.
