I changed mine at 70,000 kms. It's a 15 to 20 minute job. The best place around here, to buy any filters including the CCV is Cummins.

I got the peform service message so I will be doing this soon. I am in the process of figuring out just what I need and what I need to do.
The filter is simple enough, I had it out today to see what it was all about. I need a little more info on the cleaning process for the EGR valve and the cooler. Did Geno's put the cleaning kit together? I looked on the site but did not see it. |

Out of curiousity and not to upset any enviromentalists, but why not just install a vent tube or road draft tube and plug off the turbo inlet like the original 5.9? That way you'll never have to worry about oil in your turbo and intercooler.

You can. Nothing stopping from doing so .... The only place you will get issue from is inspection (if you are in area that looks for that) and dealers (if your truck is service by them). My solution was the following since I deal with stupid dealer service (not much longer) and a state that has smog stuff:
Oil separator project Cheers.
