Question Cleaning the EGR Valve & Cooler

I need a 'HOW TO" for cleaning the EGR Valve and the EGR Cooler on a 2008 Ram with a Cummins 6.7 (required for the 67500 mile service). I also need to know how to reset the 'Perform Service' message on the overhead consol.

Well, I have all the parts to do it but didn't get it done because winter hit and since I drive all highway I figured it could wait until spring since the EGR system only works at idle. Here's the reset Dodge/Cummins 6.7L PERFORM SERVICE INDICATOR - RESET

Here's the Kit I got and I contacted Geno's Garage and they probably have their own kit by now. I'll see if I can the procedure copied over but an actual "To Do" won't happen until spring. Dodge cummins 6.7l egr service maintenance kit

I wonder if you have had any problems after cleaning this system. My truck's temperature is up over 200 mark. I have a 6.7 Dodge Diesel 2007. Please HELP!!

Sound like you have a possible air bubble in your cooling system. Try to re-bleed the system and make sure you top off your cooling system with the exact same fluid that is currently in the system. Do not mix coolant or add water.
