O.K., I looked under the hood and of course I couldn't find anywhere where I could jumper the fog lights. All I could see was the wires going from the fog lights to the back of the fuse box. Any help I would greatly appreciate it.

I don't wanna step on any toes, and to each his own. But if the guy isn't familiar at all with electronics, it would be worth a few bucks at the dealership to let them do it.

I asked my stealership when I had my truck in for EGR service and they wouldn't do it. Said something about it was against the law and also said that there isn't a way to do it anyway cause the 6.7L aren't wired up that way. Sounds like a lot of B.S. to me!

What a load of B.S !!

Here are the starscan steps:

Starscan Main Menu > ECU view > FCM/CGW > Misc. Functions > Enable Front Fog Lamp Output > Start > Next > Disable > Next > Cancel > Start > Next > Enable > Next > Export > Next > Finish

Heck a smarty can do it

Other ways of doing it since it relay controlled, ECU does not have enough power to run the lights directly.

Cheers.

I have an H&S mini maxx and it has the option to run fog lights with high beams. That's how mine is configured. That sounds like a lazy dealership

I unfortunately don't own a Smarty, Edge, H&S mini maxx or anything close to any of these. Not now or in the for foreseeable future. The wife won't let me get one. Maybe sometime in a few years I might be able to convince her. Right now to save on fuel I drive to work and back and not @ all on the weekends if I have to. No more short runs to the grocery store. I might be getting 12.5 to 13.0 in the city, but I can go two weeks w/ out filling-up!

I understand your situation. Most of us have( or are there now) been in that spot before. Do you have your EGR unplugged? If not, it is something to consider to help with the fuel mileage. My truck got the same mileage as yours when bone stock and jumped to 18-19 on the highway if you don't do a lot of wasted time at idle. I know everyone has a "my truck gets this much mileage" story, but seriously, unplugging the EGR should help.

Hmm. I could have sworn I looked at that.....oh well, not the first time I've been ambushed by a case of the Dumb A@@. What was your mileage like before you unplugged it? The first Dodge we (my grandfather and I farm/ranch on partnership) owned was a 1 ton 2007.5 w/ 6.7L 2wd. It got 13 to 14 according to the overhead console. When we finally discovered it was ok to unplug the EGR, the mileage jumped to 19-20. Same thing happened with the next one (truck in my signature).

I gained exactly 3 mpg. So I went from 10 mpg in the city to of course 13 mpg in the city. I haven't been on the hwy since spring break and that was when I had my egr problems, so I haven't been able to find out what that mileage will be.
