Default Bypass for driving lights (or fog lights)?

Has anyone here done a bypass for the driving lights? What I mean is when you turn-on your high-beams your driving lights (or fog lights) turn off. But I want mine to stay on so when I'm driving on those lonely and very dark roads to get more light on the road. So you can just push the button to turn them on or off whenever you want them. Make since?

Yes, there is.

Three ways:
1. dealer turns that function on
2. if you have a tuner that touches factory options, turn on via that way
and the best
3. jumper out the relay on the fuse box in the engine compartment.
For option #3, in the TDR magazine, there is a way of shown.

I will find the issue and post the instructions. It down the for the 5.9 but 6.7 is supposed to be same.

Cheers.

1. The stealership would charge too much. So no.
2. Don't have.
3. Yes, would be best. Thank You!!

Just a heads up, that shortcut was for a 5.9 series. Just make sure on the 6.7 that you take a measurement reading with a meter so you are not shorting power to power ....

I had my dealership turn this function on. The normal charge is $32.95 but they were hooked up to the scan tool to do the J35, so turned the fogs on with high beams and set the speedo for my 285 tires. The Fogs being on with the high beams makes a big difference. IMHO it would be worth the money.

O.K., I know nothing about electronics except jumping the battery and replacing fuses. Tell me more on how to read the meter and what kind of meter I need. Also where do I do the test @.

Well this will be a bit hard .... What you are trying to do is very that Robert & Bill did in the attached article still applies. What you are trying to do is to make sure on the 6.7 that only one of the two pins (30 and 87) has power on it, not both. If both do, then its a dead short. It will require you to make a jumper cable and know how to take the fuse box apart ... I will take a quick look and see it write something additional to this.

Thanks. Hey if you do it to your truck, maybe you can submit it to TDR magazine for the 6.7L trucks!
