Default M.P.G. while towing

Hi All: Any thoughts on what kind of mpg I might look for towing a trailer grossing at 10-1100 lb. I've got a 2008 2500 6.7 and haven't towed this trailer yet.
I towed this load previously with a 2006 hemi in a 1500 and got 6 on a bad day and near 10 on a rare good day.
If anyone has a guess I would like to hear. Thanks guys.
Dave.

I pulled a 32' Travel Trailer from Augusta Ga to near Birmingham Al (300 miles +/-)and mine was showing between 9-10. I was driving with a light foot as well. I estimate the weight was only 6-7,000#. I have an '08 3500 MC 4X4. I thought that was pretty good for this truck.

Been averaging 14 to 16 in town and 10 to 13 towing the camper (11K), the wife does get better that I do, when she drives. She did a round trip to Tucson and averaged 14 towing.

I pulled my wife's car on a U-Haul trailer 1500 miles from just outside Ottawa Canada to Palm Beach Gardens FL. I averaged about 65-70 mph (the company was paying for the fuel) as a driving speed. I was averaging about 12-13 mpg (US Gals). This was before I made any modifications to the truck. I just installed a K&N Air Intake. I suspect I will get better fuel mileage. I will post as soon as I run a full tank.

I deliver RVs all over the country. Drove 7400 miles
in last 2 1/2 weeks. Pulling a 38ft toy hauler with a 07 Dodge
w/6.7 Cummins along with Edge chip staying at about 62 MPH
I can get 10-12MPH with no head wind. I should note I have 370,000 miles
on my truck and it seems to be running fine.
Right now I do get a hissing sound with engine brake activated but
think its a bad gasket.

10-11 pulling a 32' fiver (about 12,000), which is the same as my Super Duty pulling 6,000 on the hitch. Completely stock truck.
