Irony
The irony of the 6.7l ISB Cummins:
Just some thinking going on here (Scarey huh?)
I am also a member of several other cummins forums (and other makes) as I am sure some of you are too. This is, however, my favorite, let me say why:
Squid has done a great job of keeping this forum a 6.7 exclusive site, keeping us up to date with his findings, current TSB's, fixes and documentation on our year/models.
Hats off to you Squid!!
Also there seems to be fewer issues with the 6.7l power plant on this site too?? (can't figure where the problems went, or were there any ? Any body see the issues with every generation of 5.9's? We don't have any in comparison) Wunder why? Maybe because we have been informed as to the real workings of the new after treatments and can use them to our advantage with out detriment to the system. Other sites hate the 6.7's. I can tell you for a fact I have never owned or worked on a vehical with as few issues, or unsolveable problems as this truck. I have horror stories about my '96 Gasser and warranty. I also have been on both sides of the counter with vehicals all of my life and so far this has truly been the best, most enjoyable investment my wife and I have made to date.
Time will tell however, so far, we love this truck.
Again, thanks to every one (Squid esp.) on this site for keeping it one of the best that is out there.
