I believe it. What kills the MPG is those pesky ole active regenerations but if you can get her on the highway where it's done passively I believe I could get 20 since I'm getting 17.5 consistently.

Hello All,

New to this forum, just wanted to say this is a great site and seems to be full of some good info.

I bought the 07.5 Mega Cab 6.7L, 4x, 6 speed auto, from the Hemi this is a Real Truck, and pulls anything I have with ease. What a Joy to drive, no doubt will keep it for many years to come.

Im getting from 8 to 12 in town depending if my foot is heavy, and if im nice and let the cruse drive it at 65 it will do 16mpg, but usualy im doing 85 and getting 13 to 14.

I love the engine brake, definatly saves my pads, the tranny is solid and shifts nice and smooth.

Thanks Terry083500 I'll keep that in mind. From everything I have read and seen there is not much that you can do to increase the mileage from one of these out side of towing it. It is not like in years past, you let them breath alittle and it will give a few more MPG's and Horses. Now they seem to think on thier own a little to much. I did however get 20K on the factory filter.

I have an07 3500 with the 6.7 and the six speed, I get just under 20 mpg. bonafide miles. Towing a 14,000 lb. Montana trailer through Utah I was getting about 12 mpg.
