Default 6.7L Cummins MPG.

Well I just went over 9,000 miles and I guess 15.5 MPG is about as good as she's going to get not that I'm complaining. As a matter of fact the big pigs MPG rivals both the Nissan Titan and Toyota Tundra 1/2 ton trucks with the low geared rear differentials and I have a heavy duty front solid axle rather then IFS and the engine that will move the world if I could get the necessary traction so I'm content.

I wonder if the Edge juice with Attitude I'll be ordering here on the 21st will help the MPG like they are advertising?

Question Upgrade

Squid I was wondering if the upgrade you did really improved your fuel mileage?
I am buying my new Dodge soon and had wondered about upgrades.
Thanks

I put 6200 miles on my 6.7l since October. It is by far the best driving truck I have ever own. I also have a 2006 5.3l Z-71, and my Dodge is so much more fun to drive than my "Z".

It may be too early to tell, but I read somewhere out on the net that the mpg's will get better around 80-85K on the clock. I am at 19 hwy / 13 city and do not have a heavy foot.

122k miles on the clock and fuel mileage has NOT changed much since new. Average around 15.5, hand calced, @ 75 m.p.h. empty, 8 -10 towing @ same speed depending on what's hooked behind me and the wind speed/direction ahead of me.
I did read about using the smaller/lighter 5.9L air filter instead of the big/heavier 6.7L air filter to increase m.p.g.'s. I'm experimenting with that now. Initial results are indicating a small, almost 1 m.p.g. increase. Will keep ya all posted with those results as I make some more trips. I'm trying to eliminate all the variables to make sure I'm actually seeing an increase due to the different air filter.
