Default 2008 ram windshield wiper bad

just got back from the dealer, had truck in for a windshield wiper problem, they dont work on high setting at all and just whenever they want on the other settings. they said the motor is bad and that the parts are on back order, because they have to change the whole system:motor, transmisssion linkage(s) etc. they couldnt tell me when the parts are due in or how long it will take to fix when they arive but they said I could leave it with the three others they had in for the same reason or take it home and wait on the call when the parts come in. NOl loaner ? I have 9,100 miles on it and evidently they have a problem with the wipers on a few more than mine, (other than the low tire pressure monitor staying on at first, and the shifter being a little bit of a pain at first ,both minor issues) this is the first real problem I have had with the truck. I understand that their suppliers may have sent them bad motors or that the bean counters switched to a cheaper source/motor etc. but I am realy dissapointed in my dealers sevice not the fact that the parts are going to take awhile to get and install, its the fact they tryed to make it my problem not theirs, and offered no real solution to me for their problem. now i see why my girlfriend loves her vw jetta ,she even gets a loaner when shes getting an oil change and i couldnt get nothing but we will call you when the parts come in to see when we can fix it. hope you have a spare $46,000 4 month old truck laying around you can use till we get around to fixing our problem.

I'd be in search of a different dealership. My dealership understands that if they don't want to be closed down then they better make customers happy and I am. Other then some flashes, a recall and my learning curve with the 6.7L I've had no problems at all in 45,000 miles.....................................unless you want to count the deer that took out my left side of the truck a month after I got it. Kudos to State Farm Insurance! (Deer o Dodge 1)

Well its been a week or so scince my first trip to the dealer, the parts came in for my truck in two days, (that was great) and they scheduled me when I was off again to put them on.it only took a few hours to install them (again great) they installed the whole wiper module under the cowl , and did a good job , no broken clips ,un-hooked wiring looms ,no scratches etc, very pleased with the service to the truck, my only real complaint through the whole thing wasnt that the wipers broke,or that i had to wait on parts ,or for them to be installed, or even how they did the job ...it was the lack of customer service, they sent me back out on the road with a broken truck in the worst weather of the year , instead of keeping the truck and giving me a loaner or free rental, even a used car off the lot? untill mine was back in shape to deal with the weather...maybe i wanted too much ? but in the end i think they did a good job with the truck ,but could have done a little better with me. still love the truck and dont think the little issues here and there are any reason to down dodge, and my issues with the truck have been few.good luck to all and keep posting info ,we all can an do learn from each others experiences with these great trucks..

well the truck is now at 23,000 miles and I had the safety recall come in for the wiper motor ( j10 ) . I took it in to the dealer and they again changed the wiper motor on the truck ,although I told them I had it done last year? they went ahead and changed it out for a new one. they also fixed the door speakers that rattled , and replaced the cab lights ,that started leaking through the roof, and one of the new ones don't work ??/ and they also done the other safety recall on 4x4's (h36) front center link and bracket. we will see how things go... hope if the truck has any more little bugs they show up before the warranty runs out at 36,000 miles...
