Default 2008/2009 safety recall

Hey everyone, hope all is well. just got a sfety recall on my 2008 dodge ram 2500 hd. It is saftey recall H36, steering drag link inner joint and damper bracket. have to make an appointment with the dealer to have it done soon. they said some 2008 and 2009 are recalled and that the repair should take around an hour. just a heads up note to others to see if their truck is one that is recalled , you may check with the dealer (by vin. of your truck), or im sure they will send a recall notice in the mail. best of luck to all ,talk with you later steve.

Must be a 4X4 thing. I never got a recall on this and according to their website I'm up to date.

It is a 4X4 thing and only for 2008-2009....By the way, have you ever had a problem with your air dam (black dulaflotch under the bumper)? I have a 2wd too and I'm on my third air dam

OOPs, wrong recall. That's what I get for not going past the H number. I got the blanket brace recall notice not the front end.

As for the Air Dam problem why not just put a level kit on? at $130 a pop it'll be cheaper in the long run and shouldn't effect towing.

the only problem I've had with my front air dam was that it wasn't high enough to clear the bank on the other side of a creek It was crossing..... (yep need the leveling kit too,) but, it didn't break it too bad, it just pulled it through the bolts... a few washers and it was back in place.. good as new... well its still on there 11,000 miles later.

Had the insulation recall done and had them check on the front end safety recall and it does not apply to mine.
