Default 100,000 miles and two (2) intercooler cleanings

Well I just turned 100,000 miles and had my second cleaning of the intercooler. The soot is soooo thick that it has to be boiled out.

My diesel tech also told me that Dodge only warrants the DPF to 120,000, so I should seriously consider a EGR/DPF Delete, since the delete is usually cheaper that the $1,800 retail cost of a replacement DPF.

I guess this is what happens when the marketing guys don't dive the engineering guys time to complete the task of "getting it right".

I case you have not figured it out, I have a 07.5 and have spent a lot of time driving rentals. I had a lot of problems during the first 50,000 miles, and many contacts with Dodge. Dodge did take care of the vehicle and did a lot of changes and upgrading, and before I knew it, it was too late for lemon law.

I love the truck, but hate the problems. I am beginning to believe that EGR/DPF Delete is the way to go. I hear that since Dodge/Cummins had all their problems, DuraMax and Powerstroke are going with Urea injection.
