Sorry I did not answer all of your questions. Idle up is for periods of long idle above the normal 700 rpm. Superchip 3808 allows you to activate the idle up feature and allows higher idle speed while parked...Truck in park and foot off the break. Long periods of low rpm idle will load up the DPF ( Diesel Particulate Filter) and cause more frequent regen's. I use idle up at long traffic lights as well.
