I've had the 'CAT 80% full" buzzer (Dinger) go off on me 1 time. Took it for a blast up the freeway at 70 or so in 4th for about 25 miles and it turned off the message. It occured after a long week of slow speed driving and way too much idle time. YES The exhaust gets VERY HOT!! It will do an auto idle up when it idles for more than 3 or 4 minutes in Park, touch the brake and it returns to normal. I have yet to see where the EVIC tells me that it is in Regen. Someone told me just watch the fuel mileage, I really can't tell because I use the mileage minder over a 1500 mile reset period (Usually). Long term averages are pretty close on mine. After reset it is way off. I don't know if I am going to put on a monitor or just a couple of gauges yet, I guess the pyro would tell you if you were in regen though. My commute is 15 miles each way every day with trip interuptions in the afternoon, we also take it out for a tow every month usually 50 to 150 miles (It's all up hill out of Albuquerque). So far no real issues with the truck.
