I have owned Fords for over 34 years. I purchased a new 2005 F350 6.0 Diesel. What a mistake. Ford would not do anything for me when my head gasket blew. I had the truck in for service at 48,000 miles and there was white spray marks by the degas bottle. They told me that is nothing. At 61000 miles it was bad and they charged me $175.00 to tell me my head gasket repair would cost me $4000.00. I has spent $400 for the repair for the intake tube blew off the manifold. All new brakes and rotors. The trans went also! This keep getting more expensive every month.
I went and took a test drive in a Dodge 2500 Diesel. That day I came home in my Dodge and never again will I ever own a Ford. I feel like I went from a piper cub to an F18 Hornet. I read test results about how better GMC and Chevy is better. After a test drive I had to go to a Dodge Dealer and see how much better they are. The Dodge has better power, ride and it has more options for the money. The Cummins has much better power! Ford makes a new motor every year and when will they get a good one?
