I went to start my 09 after sitting for 12 days and had a totally dead truck. Put the truck on charge and returned 3 hours later to find it was still dead. Checked voltage and had less than 1 volt. Removed both batteries and went to the Interstate battery store and he found one had a bad cell and one was in need of a charge. Needless to say, bought 2 new 850 cca mega-tron batteries because I figured it was only a matter of time before the one in need of a charge would fail. Before I went to buy replacements, I called the dealer and they would not test the batteries without the truck and wanted to send a tow truck to haul it in. I needed the truck that day and decided to replace them on my own. Is there someone at Dodge I could contact to inquire about the possibilty of a reimbursement for the bad battery? I still have both batteries and a printout that shows the bad cell diagnosis. Installed new batteries, started the engine, checked voltage (at idle it was 14.31) and the truck runs great.
