The filter is not installed for any kind of performance gain, its to filter down to a level that is safe for the high pressure pump and injector. Also it does remove a restriction that is standard on the 6.7. So that results in better flow from the factory filter to the pump but with the factory lift pump still in the tank, you talking enough to see the benefits.
