The plug is on the EGR body on the intake elbow under the hood. The block off plates are more permanent and some say require removal of the EGR butterfly. For now, I will stick with the unplugged EGR and watch what goes on with emissions testing etc. We often travel to BC in the summer where there is testing and visual inspection but at present, there is no testing here in Alberta. After plugging the EGR back in about 4 start cycles are required before the CEL goes out.
