That fitting really does not lube the u-joints, it puts a little grease in the ball and socket on the CV joint itself. Chevys had a problem with theirs, then they learned you need to apply some grease every now and again, that is when the hidden, almost unservicable, inside out grease fitting came to into play. I hate them, if the CV joint is not in exactly the right position you cannot get to it, besides then it take 3 hands to grease it. My 96 has 170,000 miles on it and it has never been greased, it is still free and servicable. JMHO
