The only thing you should notice is perhaps slightly better throttle response. If it is working the way it should it will do it's thing with out any driveability differences. EGT's will come up some. There is no display in the truck that tells you, some have installed boxes that will display the functions though. My fuel mileage goes down some. When it tries to force a regen at idle, the idle will increase slightly and the EB will activate and the tail pipe gets REAL HOT!(in park at idle only, after excessive idle time).
To keep them out of regen mode, clean out the pipes periodically and drive it like a Cummins needs to be driven, LOADED.
