There may be a fix for this. On another site I watched the posts about the 68RFE shudder. A couple of Chrysler techs and a service manager suggested putting 2 oz. of Mopar limited slip differential additive in the transmission to eliminate clutch slippage in the torque convertor and the transmission clutch packs. I was damned skeptical and watched the posts for some time. The transmission in my truck was shuddering very noticeably with the trailer hooked up. The AB flash helped some but did not eliminate it. We were heading to B.C. down and back up the Coquihalla (read hard pull) on Labour Day Weekend so about the middle of August, I decided to try it. IT WORKS! It did not eliminate the shudder right away but took about 2 weeks to do its thing. Only put in 2 oz, not the whole bottle. My truck now has 72,000 kms on it. At that time it had about 65,000 showing.
