Gunner I'm real interested in the long term outcome (like you are). At 32000 miles it looks like I have this yet to face. I wonder how much the DPF contributes to these problems. The ECM was replaced on my truck around Oct. of 07 with some new upgraded model. I've had only the G30 recall but mine is a 2wd...I'm glad to hear it went well with you. It's always a uneasy feeling to have the dealer work on your truck when warranty is involved.
The only thing I'm not looking forward to is losing my Superchips programmer to the bootlegger software, I guess the Edge is next
