Dealer told me when I had mine in last for the ECM light and they did the TSB-18-035-08, that I didn't need to use the EB except when I actually needed it. First time I was in, they said to use it "some". This time they said to "just drive the truck normally." "Shouldn't have to drive the truck any special way."
By the way, my first oil change was at 3000 miles with no "Service Engine" prompt. 2500 miles later, I got the "Service Engine" prompt. That put me at 5500 miles. Dealer said they forgot to reset at the first oil change. On their window sticker they put on, they show me due back in at 10,500. They did the oil change, I suppose they used Mopar. FWIW, Valvoline Blue is recommended by Cummins. They put the "Cummins" logo on the Valvoline oil container. If I keep this truck that long, when the warranty is up, that is probably the oil I will use even though I have used Quaker State exclusively for 40 years. I have had many mechanics recommend Valvoline to me.
