Once again a new member has made my day since it's you that I decided to start this site. I just got done looking at the service manual for our truck and code u0100 (lost comm. with ecm/pcm doesn't apply to the 6.7L.
Rather then use the OBD 2 reader try doing it this way on the truck: Just turn the key from off to on 3 times and leave it in the on position the third time. The odometer will display any and all codes and when it's displayed them all it will show ------- and then it will say done.
