Good job Vis-a'-vis, Pretty much my perception. My driving habits are difficult to change with the lugging of the engine, I am still learning how to get the most out of the 6.7 in stock trim and actually it's alot of fun. The 96 with the gasser in it and the 47RE, I have a BD trans lock installed and it attempts to keep it in lock up on de-cel and light throttle accel. The V-10 got the best mileage at 65, 4th locked up so we learned to drive it that way towing and empty, the 07.5 likes some RPM's when towing and the trans will keep the RPM's low unless you give it a lot of throttle. We are learning how to manipulate the up and down shift switch for minimum shifting and optimum RPM's and mileage. By the way the 96's transmission has never been out of the truck and has never given us any problem in 170,000 miles (15K Syn. trans fluid changes and a very light foot) Yes it has towed and alot too, about 75% of it's life with 10K in tow. So the learning curve continues.
