The hose that came with the bypass were "air" hoses. I am sure they would be OK but I am kinda an overkill kinda guy. I did not like the idea of running down the hwy at 70 and springing a leak and barking the motor. Please the HD hdy. lines are very wear resistant.

And "yes" the 2500 is very overpriced.
